I grew up in a small mountain village in the south of Vorarlberg. The surrounding mountain ranges of the Rätikon, the Verwall and Lechtal Alps create a beautiful mountainous landscape which is also the highest mountain in Vorarlberg, shows the Zimba at its best. The Zimba with a height of 2.643m is the most famous mountain in the area and consists of limestone. Huge glacial moraine from Arlberg and Montafon, but also by the Schesaplana (2.965m), the landscape has left many shapes.
When I was on vacation in Kyrgyzstan, the mountains were nothing new for me. But they were still higher, bigger and more powerful than I knew about me at home. I was very impressed by the mighty mountains, lakes and the countryside in general.
I grew up in a mountain family. My family consisted of my parents, 5 younger brothers and me. Since 1983 I am married to the team manager and have 2 grown children.
