Giant wild sheep & sheep

The Bucks forms the northeastern reach a shoulder height of 135 cm and a weight of up to 216 kilograms. The southwestern representatives are usually a bit smaller.

The coat of Argalis varies. In Winterfell the base color is brown with dark brown, reddish-brown and beige hues occur. In the summer reinforce the red of the skin. A black strip, stretching from neck to the middle of the back, is also visible only in summer. The belly is white or yellowish. Between the bright abdomen and the darker sides runs a black or brown stripes, but not always visible and sometimes is interrupted. Buttocks and tail are white. White drawings on the backs come in two sub-species (Altai Argali, Gobi Argali). Even the throat and nose tip can be whitish. The legs are on the outside as brown flanks and back, sometimes a little darker, the inside of the legs is white. Female same Argalis usually the color bearers, but on average a little brighter.

The horns are longer and more difficult than those of all other wild sheep. Their colour is yellowish-brown. With the goats of the Pamir-Argali they can become 164 cm long; with other subspecies the middle horn-rimmed length lies with 110 to 120 cm. In the base the horns have an extent of about 40 cm. They perform in a spiral up to two full rotations and then point aside. The span amounts on an average to 75 cm, with the Pamir-Argali up to 130 cm. Together with the skull the horns to 22 kg weigh. The surface of the horns is grooved, the colour is grey-yellow. By the fights between the goats one often finds animals with damaged or uncompleted horn-rimmed points. Also the females have with the Argali horns which are, however, much shorter than those of the goats (length 30 to 45 cm). These are substantially thinner and rather saber-shaped.

Argalis run in kind of the house sheep and, besides, can reach speeds from 50 km/h (goats) or 60 km/h (female).
